Who We Are

Project Lighting & Electrical (PLE) is a Queensland-based electrical contractor established in 2014. We specialise in large-scale residential and commercial electrical construction — multi-residential towers, mixed-use developments, aged care and seniors living facilities, and complex commercial projects across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and surrounding regions.

PLE was founded by Trent Ridings, who holds Queensland Electrical Contractor Licence No. 78210 and brings more than 25 years of industry experience. From day one, PLE has focused on the complex end of the market — projects that demand more than just qualified tradespeople on site.

Design & Construct Capability

PLE holds full Design & Construct capability through our in-house drafting department. We can take complete responsibility for electrical design, Energex authority submissions, construction, commissioning, and handover under a single subcontract. We issue both Form 15 (design) and Form 12 (installation) Electrical Safety Certificates.

This capability matters to builders working on compressed programmes. When consulting engineering documentation is incomplete or not yet commissioned at tender, PLE can step in and take design responsibility — allowing construction to proceed without waiting for drawings that may never arrive on schedule.

Our Scope of Work

PLE delivers power systems, communications infrastructure, lighting control, EV charging, nurse call, CCTV, intercom, and access control — all under a single electrical subcontract. Our systems capability includes Dynalite DALI lighting control, Inner Ranger access control, Dahua IP CCTV and intercom, and EV load management systems.

Where We Work

Our primary markets are Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with experience across the Sunshine Coast, Northern NSW, and Toowoomba. We currently hold an active project pipeline in excess of $37M, including projects ranging from 8-storey aged care developments to 39-storey residential towers.
